How to Choose Studs Length

Now that you have made the choice to add Extreme Max Snowmobile Studs to your sled it is important to choose the correct stud size. Proper stud length is critical for safety and optimum snowmobile performance. Please read the instructions below carefully or check out our Snowmobile Stud Application Chart (available below). Platinum Series Studs

1. Measure the lug on your track from the outside of the track to the top of the lug. Ex. 1.0"
2. Add .15" to .25" to that measurement. The result is the stud size that fit your snowmobile track. Ex. 1.15"

Platinum Series Stud Chart

Fat Head Studs

1. Measure the lug on your track from the outside of the track to the top of the lug. Ex. 1.0"
2. Add about .25" to .345" to that measurement. The result is the stud size that fit your snowmobile track. Ex. 1.25"
